Tea Party - A bunch of people off on tangents?

IF the tea parties band together, then they become another party just like any other and will eventually become corrupt. Make no mistake, if they become viable, they will be taken over by the ‘insiders’.  And/or they will eventually become either a Monolithic or Parliamentary organization.  If they become Monolithic, then who ever becomes the boss (or bosses) may alienate the rest of the ‘party’. If they become Parliamentary, then they will become a democracy and may alienate 49% of the ‘party’.   Also, IF they retain their autonomy, then their power is disbursed and the 'powers' that be will not worry about them (and will want them to continue to exist because separately they are ineffective).

Mickey;
Seems like you and I are like-minded "patriots!!" I don't care who does 'it,' I just want it done!! The only way to save this government is to rid it of the socialists and fascists. Keep writing... eventually enough souls will read it!!

Mickey-
Thanks for the information on Blackburn you posted on my blog. (I replied to your comment there). As to the Tea Parties off on tangents, I hope they can remain focused on the Social Democratic Party's unconstitutional and fiscally irresponsible expansion of the federal government through the next election cycles. As I suggested in my post, this issue seems to have awakened many Americans. Then when Republicans regain control the Congress, they can hash out other issues like illegal immigration, abortion, etc. I doubt tea parties will form a party. They will eventually be co-opted by the Republican establishment. Hopefully, that will not happen without fundamental changes in the Republican Party itself.

As in Independent voter I am having some trouble coming to grips with the Tea Party. I am always open to removing a President after one term but, when I see the possible candidates that they are putting forward as perspective nominees I just can't see myself voting for any of them. If they want to be taken seriously then finding a candidate(s) more worthy of my vote than the likes of Gingrich, Palin or Bachmann is a must.
